Thank you for this life in you, this oneness, this communion. I am in you and you are in me. My life hidden in Christ, a partaker of the divine nature.
Thank you for ‘joy unspeakable and full of glory’. For that thrill that comes from deep within, for that bliss that settles on the soul, the laughter that bubbles up and overflows. Joy that cannot be explained, the mysterious happiness.
Thank you that as I look out my window I see trees bare against a battleship grey sky, hear the bold cry of great tit and chaffinch, and behold one solitary cherry tree in full bloom on a January morning. Flowers full open in the cold dawn it shouts I’m here, I’m alive, I will overcome this winter, I will grow and reproduce, I will leave my mark upon this good earth!
