Thank you for sleep, time to restore and repair, rest for body and mind. Every night for 47 years, at least some sleep. Even through the years of hungry babies, of dirty nappies and warming bottles. I learned the value of sleep then!
Thank you for my children. Four precious ones who wake me with requests for clean clothes, a shower, or the offer of breakfast. Today, Saturday, trips to get haircuts, to the cinema and a party. Phone call with the eldest away at uni. Talk with another about the coming year. The privilege and joy of caring for lives and sharing lives.
Thanks for coffee! A morning ritual, coffee, grinder, espresso maker on the stove then 5 minutes of transformation into my ambrosia.
